How to choose a diamond

When you go to a jewellery shop to buy a diamond, the marketing fella would probably tell you to pick the one that calls to you. The one that catches your eye. If you happen to pick an expensive one, he'd compliment you on your exquisite taste. Seems more smoke and mirrors to me.

To choose a diamond, go by the facts, not feelings. Look at the four Cs.

Carat, Clarity, Color and Cut. Diamonds are valued on these four factors.

For a good idea on the price range of diamonds of exactly the same size, take a look at these diamond prices.

Bookmark this page. I'll cover the four Cs in this blog over the next few days.
